Can a Dongle / Secure Stick expire?

Answer

Yes - we expire customer dongles every 3 months or so in the majority of cases. This will never reset number of credits, however.

This is to ensure that no customer is using outdated protection software. It also prevents an unauthorized user using the credits if a Secure Stick is lost. We do automate updates for customers about a week before expiry to prevent cases where their software has expired and they need to duplicate discs ASAP.
